Bettie Pauline Hughes passed away on August 5, 2017 at her home in Franklin, Tennessee at the age of 95.  She was born in Williamson County, Tennessee to the parents of the late Adam and Louise Brown Pointer. 
                               
Pauline leaves to cherish her memories, children, Jewell (Emanuel) Bigham, Barbara Murdic, Flem Otey (Eloise) Hughes, John Hughes, Alice (James) Harlan and Charles Hughes; grandchildren; Alonzo Hughes, Jr., Marita Alisa Washington, Reginald (Jewell) Mason, MaShae' Brandi Stockard, Brent Hughes, Kiona Edmondson, Kortney (Aydil) Harlan and Oneca Edmondson; Goddaughter; Burma Cody; 14 great grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Sonya Campbell, Jena Carter, Ramona Cheatham, Kendra Hughes, Donna Burgett, Patrick Hughes, Eric Burgett, Leslie Murdic and Eric Lee; sisters, Johnnie Louise Carter and Lillie Dickson; daughter-in-law; Yvonne Lee Hughes; Godson/nephew; George Pointer, Jr. nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, loving friend, Colleen Prince.

Mrs. Pauline will lie in state on Friday, August 11, 2017 from 10 until 5 at the funeral home.
Visitation with family Saturday, August 12, 2017 from 11 until 12 at West Harpeth Primitive Baptist Church, 4141 Columbia Hwy. with funeral to follow. Elder John Haynes, officiating; Pastor Oscar Myles, Eulogist
