Jody married Phyllis Bryan on June 30, 1989. She survives of their Bigelow home.
Jody passed away on August 8, 2017, at a St. Joseph hospital at the age of 67.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Andrea Nowling; and a brother, John A. Dodson.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis; children, Robyn (Brian) Robinson of Lincoln, NE, Catherine Ludwig of Woodbine, Iowa, Sean Bryan of Mound City, MO, Nikki Poppa (Shane George) of Mound City, and Kevin (Meridee) Dodson of Maryville, MO; sister, Elizabeth Burnsides of Maryville, MO; brother, Dennis Dodson Jr. of Mena, Ariz; and nine grandchildren.
