The Baird family moved from the vicinity of Arp in Smith County to near what is now Odom in Van Zandt County, about 1861. She married Robert Preston Pridmore in Henderson County on May 6, 1874. The Pridmore family resided in Lawndale, now known as Mabank, before moving to Kaufman in 1896.

She died on a Monday and had fallen and broken a limb the previous Thursday, at age 79.
