Beloved son of John Houston Keeble (1845-1882) and Martha Caroline Muldrew (1850-1875). When his mother died, William's father married her widowed sister, Amarinthia "Emma" Susan Muldrew Cook. Emma and John had two more children, Samuel, who died in infancy, and Georgia Houston. When William's father died, his aunt raised all of the children.

Beloved husband of Parmelia Ann Warren whom he married on August 22, 1894. They were the parents of Samuel Houston, Homer Preston, Willie Fae, and Joseph.
