Dilmond C. Lawson, age 87, of Mt. Sterling, KY and formerly of Mariba, KY passed away Sunday in U.K. Hospital, Lexington, KY after a brief illness. Born May 17, 1930 in Mariba, KY, son of the late William and Annie Dougherty Lawson. He was a retired factory worker, and accepted the Lord Jesus. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War Era. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Rose Lawson, stepson Frank Wright, two sisters, Sarah Egelston and Leola Clark, two brothers Lance Lawson and Ronald Lawson, special nephew David Sorrell.
Surviving is his two step daughters, Ginger Conlee and (Tom) of Mt. Sterling, KY. Debbie Torgersom and (Marc) of Gainesville, GA. One stepson, Tom Wright of Orlando, FL., Special niece Irma Sorrell of Frenchburg, KY. A host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, 1:00pm, December 20, 2017 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Dr. Daniel Hudson officiating. Burial in Ginter
Cemetery, Leatherwood, KY. Visitation 11:00am Wedneday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY, with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.
Pallbearers will be, Dillon Ingram, Tom Conlee, Todd Wright, Wendell Smith, Dalton Smith, and Dustin Smith.
