Andrew Brown was born in Iowa (obituary said Wisconsin), a son of George W. Brown 1872–1941 and Bertha May Manuel 1884–1931. He had siblings Frances Bertha 1910–1931 and Lena Amanda.

In 1930 he and his sister Lena lived in the Odd Fellows Home in Liberty, Clay Co., Missouri. His father was a lodger in Palestine, Iowa and his mother was in the Iowa State Hospital (Page Co., Iowa) for manic depression. His sister Frances Bertha was about to marry.

Andy was a World War II Navy veteran, serving three years.

He married Dorothy Maude Hayes and they had children Becky, Susan Carol and Danny Joe.

For most of his life, he was employed by Allstate Insurance Co. as a sales agent, retiring after receiving many awards of excellence.

He was a long-time resident of Phoenix.

Andy was an avid fisherman and had a wonderful sense of humor. He will fondly be remembered for love of family, kind heart, generosity, and independent spirit. Andy was loyal to his friends and family, and deeply loved by those fortunate enough to be touched by his life.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy, daughter, Susan, and son, Danny.

Survivors included his beloved daughter, Becky (Donnie) Kangas, dear grandson, Daniel, sister, Lena (Henry) Shore, special friend Donna Sooter, other close friends and relatives.
