Danny Ned "Red"Cooper 55 ,340 Jackson Road ,Inman,S.C.passed away Tuesday August 8th ,2017 at his residence.Danny was born in Spartanburg on June 14th 1962-He was the son of Cecile Blanton Raven of Inman and the late Billy Cooper.He was the husband of Karen Scruggs Cooper .He retired from Spartanburg county school district one.He was a member of Apalache Baptist Church of Greer.He had previously been a member of Little Mountain Baptist Churchwhere he served as deacon and R.A.director.He was an avid fisherman .He was president and founding member of Lake Cooley Bass Club.In addition to his mother and wife he is survived by sons Wayne Cooper of Inman and Chad Cooper and wife Carrie of Startex.A brother Darrell cooper and wife Cindy of Lyman.A sister Jeanette Schafer and husband Robert of Spartanburg.Four grandchildren-Zachary Jones-Bella Cooper-Noah Cooper-Hayden Cooper.The family is at the home and will receive friends Thursday 6:00to 8:00 at Seawright funeral home,Inman S.C.Funeral services at Apalache. Baptist Church in Greer S.C.at 11:00 A.M.on Friday August 11th-Rev.Eddie Cooper-Rev.Mark Fowler and Rev.Terry Pleasant-Burial Roselawn Memorial Gardens Inman S.C.The Lake Cooley Bass Club will serve as pall bearers and honorary escorts.In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer association of Spartanburg and Cherokee counties ,Inc.P.O.Box 1582Spartanburg S.C.29304-Source Spartanburg Herald Journal Page C3.
