Lillian Marie Monson, 86, died peacefully on Aug. 1, 2014. Born March 2, 1928 in Sublette, IL, Lillian was the daughter of Henry and Sadie (Schamberger) Roemmich. On Feb. 7, 1954, she married Melvin Roy Monson, and they had four children. Lillian's greatest joy was spending time with her family as well as playing cards, gardening, sewing, reading, traveling and playing the piano.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Melvin and is survived by her children, Wanda (Rick) Nelson, Wanda (Steve) Monson, Leon and Scott (Kelly) Monson; eight grandchildren; and great-grandchildren, Gwyn and Zooey.
