Laurel (affectionately known as “Auntie”) was born in Kansas City, Mo. to Robert C. Eastes and Geneva Ford Griggs Eastes.

She spent most of her young life in Roswell, N.M. where she graduated High School in 1962.

She moved with her first husband, Stan, to the Bay Area in 1965, and went to work for PG&E as a Customer Service Representative, where she worked for 37 years before retiring.

She met her husband, Russell, in 1995, and they married in December 1996. Laurel was very religious, and she and Russell enjoyed their time as members of the Celtic Cross Presbyterian Church. Laurel was often described by those who knew her as not only a loving, caring person, but also the kind of person who never spoke an unkind word about, or to, anyone.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, auntie, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many. Laurel was pre-deceased by her parents, Robert C. and Geneva F. Eastes.

She is survived by the love of her life, Russell Weaver, her two sons, Jeffrey Sederberg (Colleen) and Gregory Sederberg (Sylvia), step daughters Cathy Monsibais (Bob), Nancy Younce (Henry), and Patty Layne (Greg), her sister Sandi Brown, her brother, Bob Eastes (Donna), and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces & nephews.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, August 11th at East Lawn Mortuary. Viewing will precede the service from 12 noon - 2 pm. A reception will follow at the Reception Hall at the Mortuary.
