Lisa Marie (Borders) Henderson, 60, Marion, died in her home at 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2, 2017. She was born in Marion on November 24, 1956, and was a lifetime resident of Grant County. Lisa married Dale E. Henderson, Jr., on May 5, 1974, and they shared almost 39 years together until he passed away on May 3, 2013.
Lisa retired from the Marion VA Medical Center after 32 years of service as an LPN. She loved shopping and was passionate about animals and caring for them.
She is survived by her son, Brad Henderson, Marion; daughter, Jennifer (John) Brown, Fairmount; grandchildren, Olivia Henderson, Austin Miller, Jordan Miller, and Cameron Smith; 2 great-grandchildren; and brother, Mike Borders.
She was preceded in death by her father, Forrest Borders; her husband, Dale; and her brother, Rick Borders.
The family will receive visitors from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017, at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
Lisa's funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, with Pastor Greg Sweat officiating.
