She was born May 22, 1925, in Badger to David A. and Edna M. (Forgey) Stone.
She grew up in rural Cherokee County and lived in Columbus, where she graduated from Columbus High School.
She married Leonard L. George on July 10, 1942, at San Antonio, Texas. They came to Parsons in 1949 and for many years owned and operated George’s Shoe Box. Leonard died Sept. 18, 1982, and Billie continued operating the store until 1999.
Billie enjoyed swimming and boating on Grand Lake and being with her family. She attended the First Baptist Church of Parsons. She was a life member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary.
On July 11, 1987, she and Dr. Roland Robinson were married. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 1997.
She is survived by a son, Steve George and his wife, Janet, of Parsons; a daughter, Dixie Joseph and her husband, Ron, of Parsons; four grandchildren, Doug Joseph, Mark George and wife Melissa, Mike George and wife Angie and Roger George; a great-grandson, Caleb George; two great-great-grandsons; and a sister, Judy Gleason, of Columbus.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
The service for family members will be at Memorial Lawn Cemetery on Wednesday with Michael Linthicum officiating. The Carson-Wall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and friends may call there to sign the register until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
