Patricia L. Crider, 76, of Kouts passed away Monday, August 7, 2017. She was born January 24, 1941 in Harlan, KY to Foster and Ireda (Thomas) Potts and received a B.S. in Economics from Cumberland College. On July 12, 1965 she married Frank D. Crider, Sr., who lived on the same street with her in Harlan through childhood. He survives along with their son, F. Darrell (Kristle) Crider, Jr. of Kouts; grandchildren: Danny (Megan), Jesse and Josie Crider; great granddaughter, Bryndolyn Anne Crider; aunt, Helen Noe of Harlan and many loving cousins and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Kelly Denise Crider. Patricia's early adult life required her to become a caregiver for her mother and daughter, a role that her naturally kind hearted personality fit perfectly. She did find time to learn the art of oil and acrylic painting which she enjoyed along with her patiently tended garden. Patricia happily assisted Cub Scout and Girl Scout leaders, Opportunity Enterprises and many other volunteer roles. She remained in love with Frank and he with her through every trial and celebration that life offered. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at KOSANKE FUNERAL HOME, 105 Indiana Ave., Kouts with funeral service beginning at 6:00 p.m., Pastor George Taylor officiating. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
