Rich was born on March 9, 1965 in Colorado Springs, CO to Roy and Bertha Ayala.
On November 12, 2009 in Bremen, he married Kimberly S. Rowe. Kimberly survives along with his father, Roy Ayala of Colorado Springs, CO, his daughter, Alexis Marie Margaret Ayala of Florence, KY; his sons, Richard H. (Mallary) of North Liberty, IN and James A. (Courtney) Ayala of Cynthiana, KY; and two grandchildren, Liam H. and Penelope L. Rich is also survived by a sister, Patti Ann Ayala-Tipmongkol of Dumfries, VA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha.
Rich received his Bachelor Degree from University of Nebraska and his Master Degree in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. He proudly served his country for twelve years in the U.S. Navy as a Pilot. Rich served in Dessert Shield and again in Dessert Storm as a Lt. Commander.
Rich and Kimberly have resided in the area since 2001. He was a Supervisor for ten years at Masonite Corp in Walkerton.
He enjoyed wrestling, TV, loved all music, flying and especially loved being with his family.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 28th from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Walkerton Chapel” located at 1216 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton. Funeral service will take place at 4:00 PM with Reverend Ricky Bray officiating.
