Arthur Dean Perkins, 58, of Decatur departed this life on Friday, August 4, 2017 at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, Illinois.

Arthur was born on December 6, 1958 in Decatur, Illinois the son of Roscoe and Mary Lee (Taylor) Joyner. Arthur graduated from MacArthur High School where he was on the football and track team. He accepted Christ at an early age and was reared in the Trinity Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. He also had been a member of the Church of the Living God P.G. T. Temple #4 and New Visions Church. His favorite past times was working on houses and having a good time with his family and friends.

He leaves not to mourn but the cherish his loving memories: his father, Roscoe (Gladys) Joyner of Decatur, Illinois; daughter, Rokia Perkins of Decatur, Illinois; siblings: Johnnie Robert Taylor of Bloomington, Illinois, Vivian (Bishop Donald) Joyner-Biggs of Decatur, Illinois, David Joyner of Los Angeles, California, Gary (Susan) Joyner of San Diego, California; special friend and companion, Rosie Woodland of Decatur, Illinois; brother-in-law, Charles Taylor of Decatur, Illinois; estranged wife, Diane Perkins; special friends: Alfred Fox, Roy Allen, Jimmy Henning, Jeffrey Joyner, Paul Stepney and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee Joyner, sister, Theresa Taylor and niece, Jessica Taylor.
