Connie Mae Lewis
November 8, 1955 - August 5, 2017

Connie Mae Lewis, 61, of Sioux City, died Saturday, August 5, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Connie is a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt and friend. The present tense is required because it will always be true. She loves her family more than anyone can love anything. She leaves them in one entity to join them in another, as pure love and happiness. On November 8, 1955, Sheldon, IA celebrated the 1,000th baby born, and the world was immediately a better place.

As her friends will tell you; Connie loves to entertain. A consummate cook with a talent for decorating and gardening. She also loves to travel, go on adventures and cherishes every moment with her soul mate, Al.

She left detailed instructions for her family and friends to celebrate her life. Her life reflected her belief that, “Love, compassion and kindness should always start at home and be carried out to everyone you meet.”

Positivity, happiness and courage serve as her core personality traits. These were clearly modeled during her courageous fight against cancer. Connie now lives in a wonderful place, where she has been reunited with her father, Paul Schuett, her mother Bernice VantHul and her sister Pam.
