Anna Marie Sander, 87, Englewood, Colo., formerly of Hays, died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Swedish Medical Center in Englewood.

She was born Feb. 20, 1930, in Hays to Isidor and Lidwina (Younker) Kreutzer.

She married Linus R. Sanders on April 13, 1948, in Hyacinth. He preceded her in death July 3, 1992. She later married Daniel F. Sander on May 28, 1999, in Hays. He preceded her in death Jan. 13, 2011.

She was a cook at many restaurants in Hays.She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella Circle 254, both of Hays. She enjoyed volunteering for the HOPE food pantry in Englewood, quilting, cooking, gardening, embroidery, dancing polkas waltzes, playing games, shopping and she was an avid Colorado Rockies fan.

Survivors include a son, Bruce Sanders, Englewood; five daughters, Sharon Richmeier and husband, Ron, and Kay Ballinger, all of Hill City, S.D., Roberta Braun and husband, Mike, Centennial, Colo., and Carol Bouchard and Anita Paschal, both of Englewood; a brother, Leroy Kreutzer and wife, Sandy, Hays; two sisters, Imelda "Millie" Flax, Hays and Firma Pfannenstiel, WaKeeney; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Sanders; a daughter- in-law, Randi Sanders; a son-in-law, Harold Bouchard; a grandson, Ben Kuehn; four sisters, Alice Nemechek, Verla Staab, Neola Schmidtberger and Viola Kreutzer; and three brothers, Marvin Kreutzer, Kenneth Kreutzer, and Leroy Kreutzer.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Hays; burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Friday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine, Hays, KS 67601. A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6 p.m., Thursday, followed by a vigil at 6:30 p.m., both at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
