Mrs. Mary Helen Uhler, 93, of Lebanon, passed away August 2, 2017, at Homewood Health Campus. Mary Helen was born on April 6, 1924, in Boone County, Indiana, daughter of the now late Marvin and Rose (Pointer) Caldwell. She was married to Charles Uhler. He passed away in 1979. Mary Helen was the secretary-treasurer for the Western Boone School Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of Pleasant View Christian Church and the Dover Double Dozen. She enjoyed spending time with family, tending to her flower gardens and went to many of her grandchildrens sporting events. Survivors include her daughter Jane Cogswell of Lebanon; granddaughters Anissa (Mitch) Deckard of Jamestown and Heather (Brent) Cox of Thorntown; great grandchildren Kylie (Josh) Anderson, Kara Deckard, Noah Cox and Olivia Cox. Mary Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son Roger Uhler and a sister Jean Worick. Arrangements were handled by Strawmyer & Drury Mortuary, 2400 N. Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Interment of Mary Helen took place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon
