David Allan Charles, 41, of Kimmell died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 6, 2017, at his residence.

He was born July 11, 1976, in Goshen to John D. and Laura (Niles) Charles.

David had lived in Kimmell for five years, coming from Wolcottville.

Surviving are two sons, David John Charles of Helmer and Connor Dwayne Charles of Helmer; his mother, Laura Charles of Kimmell; his father, John D. Charles of Qunicy, Michigan; two sisters, Cari Charles of Texas and Brenda (Robert) Dotson of Qunicy, Michigan; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Kline of Kimmell; paternal grandfather, Shelby Jacobs of Cromwell; and the mother of his children, Candice Nicole of Helmer.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ayden Edward Charles; a sister, Sylvia Cole; maternal grandfather, Steven Niles; and paternal grandmother, Stella Jacobs.

A memorial service will be held Friday August 11, 2017, at 12 p.m. in Hilltop Baptist Church in Rome City with Pastor Larry Anglemyer, Sr. officiating. Calling is one hour prior to the service at the church.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. at Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville is assisting the family with arrangements.
