Steve L. Nichols, 72, of Watseka passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Iroquois Memorial Hospital in Watseka. He was born on January 27, 1945, the son of Edward L. and Dorothy L. Tungate Nichols.

Surviving is one son, Justin Lee Nichols (girlfriend, Maegan Ashline) of Watseka; one grandson, Gage Nichols of Watseka; one step brother, Randy (Juanita) Muller of Watseka; and several nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his father, Edward L. Nichols; his mother and step father, Dorothy and John Muller; one sister, Patricia VanDusen; and one step sister.

Mr. Nichols enjoyed being at his son’s shop and would help with painting, pin striping, and other artwork. Steve was a skilled artist that had a love for designing and engineering. He loved attending car shows with his son, Justin and helping Maegan with the metal artwork.

Services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka. Burial will follow in G.A.R. Cemetery in Watseka.

Visitation will be before the funeral service, from 12:00-2:00 pm on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Knapp Funeral Home in Watseka.

Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
