MARTINEZ SR., GEORGE EDWARD
Died 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 1990, at his residence in Plaquemine. He was 80, and a native of Plaquemine. He was a retired Ethyl Corp. operator, with 29 years service. Visiting at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine, 8 to 10:15 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Plaquemine, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, conducted by the Rev. Howell Champagne. Entombment in Grace Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by wife, Mary Pinell Martinez, Plaquemine; and two sons, George Edward Martinez Jr. and Joseph Harry Martinez, both of Plaquemine. Preceded in death by parents, William and Therese Chauvin Martinez; four brothers, Clovise, John, Jimmy and Sidney Martinez; and a sister, Bertha Edward. He was a member of Ricard Hunting Club.
