Everett married Joan (Warren) Turner on February 8, 1997. He was a truck driver for O’Daniel Trucking and had worked for Rides Mass Transit District and in the oil field. Everett was a member of New Beginning Church of God.
Everett is survived by his wife of 20 years, Joan; two sons, Everett Christopher (Tabatha) James of Grayville and Clyde (Janet) Turner of Mt. Carmel; a daughter, Karen Christine Jones of Wyoming; three brothers, Clarence James of Norris City, and Edgar and Julius James both of Carmi; a special daughter-in-law, Beth James; 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Everett Clinton “Moose” James; a daughter, Debra Simpson; Gene Desper and Stan Beason, whom he raised as sons; a sister, Eva Duvall; and three brothers, Ernest, Elvis and Claude James.
