Loving wife and mother, Deborah Ann Denton, 57, of Daytona Beach, passed away October 16, 2009. Friends are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Deborah's Life and share in a time of reflection from 3 until 5 p.m. Monday, October 19, at the Ormond Beach Chapel of Volusia Memorial Funeral Homes, 548 N. Nova Rd. Deborah was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on March 13, 1952. Her love of learning kept her active not only in pursuing an education but in sharing her knowledge with others by working as a substitute teacher. She also enjoyed reading and writing poetry, fishing and boating and had a deep love for all of God's creatures. Of all her passions in life, Deborah's greatest treasure was her family who will miss the spark she added in their lives. She leaves behind her loving husband of 38 years, B. Ray Denton; three children, Angelita C. Austin, Jason R. Denton and Amy R. Odom; mother, Grace Goodman; brother, Charles D. Godfrey; six grandchildren and a great grandchild on the way. Arrangements are under the care and trust of Volusia Memorial Funeral Home Ormond Beach.
