World traveler Robert Raymond Hawks, 61, of Princeton, WV left for his final journey on Thursday, August 3, 2017. Born February 03, 1956 at Montgomery, WV he was the son of the late Charles Norman Hawks and Margaret F. Thompson Hawks. Robert was a 1974 graduate of Collins High School where he was president of the Chess Club for four years. He attended Bluefield State College and is Past President of the TKE fraternity and was Captain of the Chess Team. He served 6 years in the National Guard. He loved traveling and was fortunate to have visited many places around the world. He was a former 2nd shift supervisor for Smith Services, Inc. in Princeton. He is survived by his loving daughters: Kristilyn Jane (Hawks) Dorsey, and Margaret Asley (Hawks) Nevi, two grandchildren: Vladimer Lestat Alacard Dorsey, and Ziva Anne Mia Dorsey. Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Tyree Funeral Home in Oak Hill with Rev. Roger Lafferty officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at the Funeral Home. Burial will be following the service on Monday at Montgomery Memorial Park.
