Michael A. "Mike" Decker, 58, of rural Bluffton, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2017. He was a 1977 Norwell High School graduate and a 1981 graduate of William Penn College where he played baseball. He could often be found golfing, playing baseball and softball, and watching the Detroit Tigers. He mostly enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Surviving family include his wife, Lisa Decker; son, Derek Decker; mother, Kay (John) Ormiston; sister, Marcia (Tim) McKee; and niece, Sydni Gregg. He was preceded in passing by his father, James Decker; grandparents, Paul and Maria Decker, and Bus and Anna Lydy. Funeral service will be 12:00 pm (noon) on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., with visitation beginning at 10:30 am. Visitation will also be from 2-5 and 6-8pm on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Ossian with a celebration of life at Lighted Gardens, Ossian following.
