Ryan Christopher Blake was born on August 16, 1984 in Katy, Texas to Ron and Anna Blake.
Ryan passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017, in Katy, at the age of 32 years.
He is survived by his parents, Ron and Anna Blake; sister, Nicole Minshew and her husband Cody Minshew; nephew, Hogan Ryan Minshew and niece, Violet Elizabeth Minshew; brother, John Blake; grandparents, Bernard and Jean Blake; and girlfriend, Madison Tanner.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at the Schmidt Funeral Home – Grand Parkway. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church, in Katy, with Rev. Tom Lam, Celebrant.
A highly decorated Green Beret Special Forces soldier, internment will follow at Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Special Forces Charitable Trust, P.O. Box 53, Essex, CT 06426, or http://specialforcescharitabletrust.org/donate/.
