Patsy Ruth Walker Buckner, 83, of Ooltewah, passed away on Wednesday evening, Aug. 2, 2017, at her home.
Born on Aug. 9, 1933, to the late Tom and Margaret Walker, she spent a majority of her life in Hamilton and McMinn counties and was of the Church of God faith. She was a mother to many, enjoyed spending time with her family and, most of all, loved God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Avery "Buck" Buckner Sr.; one son, Lewis Avery Buckner Jr.; two brothers, Willie Walker and Clyde "J.L." Walker; one great-grandson, Caleb Jamerson; a special niece, Barbara Ham; and sons-in-law, Billy Jamerson and Walter Weeks.
Survivors include daughters and their spouses, Debbie and Ed Weeks of Etowah, Janie Jamerson of Etowah, Sherleen and Bill Tucker of Ooltewah, and Terry and Mike Greene of Riceville; sons and their spouses, Ronnie and Rhonda Buckner of Cleveland, Tommy and Christine Buckner of Ooltewah, and Perry and Maria Buckner; one daughter-in-law, Traci Buckner of Cleveland; one sister-in-law, Wilma Walker of Ooltewah; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life and Home Going for Patsy Buckner will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, in the chapel of Serenity Funeral Home with Brother Jason Ollis officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6, at Conasauga Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Edward Weeks, Hoyt Jamerson, Scott Jamerson, Dusty Greene, Joe Buckner and Jason Tucker. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Buckner, Samuel Buckner and Lucas Weeks.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
