Emily C. Bateman, 58, of Bethlehem Twp., PA passed away on August 29, 2014 at St. Luke's Anderson Campus. Born: Born October 8, 1955 in Phillipsburg, NJ she was the daughter of the late Stephan Piro and Caroline Azzalina Piro.

Personal: She was a life long survivor of Thalassemia and was recently honored for her courage and determination in fighting the affliction. Emily had a profound love for her family and friends and for her dogs, Harley and Lily. She had worked as a dental hygienist and a nurse's aid.

Survivors: Survivors are her husband Michael and brothers, Michael Piro of Mansfield Twp., NJ and Stephen Piro of Norman, Oklahoma.
