She was born on Aug. 26, 1956, in Peoria to Donald J. and Gloria (Bowker) Callahan. She married Kenneth R. Williams on Dec. 11, 1996, in Peoria. He passed away on May 30, 2011, in Peoria.
She was also preceded in death by her father and one cousin, David A. Bowker.
Survivors include her mother, Gloria Callahan of Dunlap; her father-in-law, Galen Williams of East Peoria; one sister, Patti Jo Callahan of Dunlap; one step-daughter, Nicki (Johnathan) Kuebler of Roanoke; one step-son, Tim Williams of Peoria; one step-granddaughter, Isis Williams of Roanoke; and three special cousins, Sandra (Brian) Young of Peoria, Kathy (Greg) Sugent of Florida and Keri (Chris) Justice of Florida.
Julie worked in Housekeeping at the Northern Regional Lab and later Landmark Lanes. For a number of years Julie volunteered her time at Wildlife Prairie Park. She also loved all animals. Julie will always be remembered for her kind heart and smile.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the Prospect United Methodist Church in Dunlap. The Rev. Steven Pichaske will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Heartland of Peoria for their exceptional care for Julie.
