Born in Ashland on January 28, 1981, he was the son of Ellen Nolte Curry McClafferty, Shenandoah Heights, and the late Francis Curry.
He was a 1999 graduate of Shenandoah Valley High School and a 2003 graduate of Lycoming College with a Bachelors of Science degree (BS) in Biology.
He was formerly employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
Jeff was a member of Annunciation BVM Church, Shenandoah.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his father, were his stepfather, William McClafferty; paternal grandparents, John and Josephine Curry, and maternal grandmother, Margaret Smith Nolte.
