The P'Pool family moved to Nashville when Frank was young, and he attended Nashville's public schools before working most of his life as a cabinet maker.

Frank was married 1st in 1912 to Miss Mattie Tatum, who died 6 years later, and he was married 2nd in 1920 to Mary - Martha according to his obituary - Ellen Thorneberry (1880-1948), the daughter of Joe Thornberry and Betty ( -- ) Thornberry.

A member of the United Spanish War Veterans and of the Nashville Cabinet Makers union, he was a resident of Lischey Avenue and 77-year-old widower when he died on December 28, 1954 of "confluent lobular bronchopneumonia" at Nashville's VA Hospital where he had been for 12 days.
