David was born March 2, 1959, in Peoria, IL, the son of Marshall and Iona (Clipston) Van Fleet.
Surviving are his mother, Iona Van Fleet of Moweaqua; bothers: Michael Van Fleet of Wilmington, IL and Tom Van Fleet of Decatur; sisters: Lori Van Fleet of Wilmington, IL, Judy (Anthony) Savantano of Phoenix, AZ and Lisa Van Fleet of St. Louis, MO.
Preceding him in death is his father, Marshall Van Fleet.
