Amanda I. “Irene” Albin, 79, passed away August 2, 2017 at Transcendent Healthcare in Boonville, Indiana.

She was born in Perry County, March 14, 1938, daughter of the late Jesse and Amanda (Cook) Hammack. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Linnie Albin in 2016, brothers, Ed, Ernest, Paul, Jesse “Shot”, and Tom Hammack, sisters, Erma Leah Sommer, Bertha Bryant, and a sister in infancy.

Irene retired from Woodcrafters, where she had worked for several years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, being outdoors and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Dwayne Albin, Tell City and brother, Harold Hammack, Lafayette, four grandchildren, Clint, Amanda, Tyler and Nick Albin, five great grandchildren, Jaylie Albin, Carter Strahl, Kirra, Andi, and C.J. Albin.

Per her wishes there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Huber Funeral Home is handling her arrangements.
