Born: February 23, 1938; in Piggott, AR
Died: August 2, 2017; in Manhattan, IL

Louise M. Watson (nee Lawrence), age 79, of Manhattan, IL passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at her daughter's home in Manhattan where she spent her final few months. Born February 23, 1938 in Piggott, AR to the late Jack Lawrence and Marie Hazelwood.

Louise worked side by side with her husband, Bob throughout their marriage at their businesses, but always put family first and put everyone else's needs before her own.

She is survived by two cherished daughters, Brenda (Phil) Valera of Joliet, IL and Linda (Pat) McLaughlin of Manhattan; four beloved grandchildren whom she adored and couldn't have been more proud of, Jacob and Julia Valera, and Lindsay and Kelsey McLaughlin; and her precious sweet great-grandson, Jaxon Dearing. Also survived by her sister, Laneta Pettit; brother, Clifton Lawrence; special cousin, Donald Cochran; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved so much; and Scott Dearing and Brian Stone who were very special to her. She also leaves behind her best friend and beloved dog, Dusty.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Watson, whom she was married to for fifty-eight years, before he passed away nine months ago; one son, Jeffrey Scott; two grandsons, Patrick McLaughlin and Nicholas Valera; sister, Roberta Eickelman; and two brothers, H.C. Lawrence and Jack Lawrence.

Funeral services will be at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home, Manhattan, IL Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation Monday, August 7, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name to the COPD Foundation would be appreciated.
