Suffolk - James E. Worrell passed away at his home on August 2, 2017. He was born on May 29, 1922 in Nansemond County. He is predeceased by his parents Harvey L. Worrell Sr. and Lillian G. Worrell, wife Melean P. Worrell, brother Harvey L. Worrell Jr., and sister Francis Williams.

He is survived by daughter Yvonne W. Felton (Allen) and his son Donald Worrell (Roseland). Grandchildren Vicki Alheit (Guy), Jim H. Felton (Gracie), Justin D. Worrell (Lisa), and Joshua Worrell (Jennifer). Great grandchildren Shea, Sam, Kaitlyn, Abigail, Cameron, Chloe, Zoie, and Jayden. Sisters Ellen Francis and Irene Tolan and several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Marie Mumford his faithful caregiver

He was a graduate of Holland High School and was married 63 years to the love of his life Melean. He was a US Navy veteran, worked at Union Camp, and retired from farming. He was a lifelong member of Holy Neck Christian Church, 71 year member of the Holland Ruritan Club, and 56 years in the McAllister Masonic Lodge #185.

A visitation will be held Friday August 4th, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at R.W. Baker Funeral Home and Crematory 509 W. Washington St. Suffolk, VA. A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 5, 2017 at 11 AM at Holy Neck Christian Church 4400 Holy Neck Rd Suffolk, VA 23437 with Rev. Norman March officiating. Burial will follow the service at Holland Cemetery with Masonic Rites.
