Michelle Elizabeth Chalk, 15, of Ft. Thomas, KY, passed away on August 1, 2017 in Ft. Thomas. Michelle loved to dance. She began dancing at the age of three for Dance Express. Michelle danced with the Cincinnati Ballet, performing in the Nutcracker for four years. Michelle also sang in the All State Music Choir, and performed in four Highlands musicals. She was a member of Girl Power, a female leadership program that mentored Middle School girls. Michelle was a member of the Student Council. On Fridays Michelle went to school early and gave all the students coming through the doors high fives. The Vice Principal loved this idea of Michelle's, and soon Fridays became High Five Fridays! Michelle loved participating in the art, leadership, and language QUEST programs with her peers, and also enjoyed tutoring younger students at Homework Huddle. She knew the importance of serving God and was an alter server and vacation bible school volunteer at St. Catherine of Siena Parish.Michelle is survived by her Parents, Keith Chalk and Patricia (Baumann) Chalk, her brothers, Thomas Chalk & Robert Chalk, her grandparents, Don & Judy Baumann, Georgie (and the late Ralph) Chalk. Michelle is also survived by aunts and uncles, Mary Jo & Tim Roth, Bob & Chris Baumann, Amy & Simon Sapsford, Susie & Will Mansfield, Mark & Terri Baumann, Julie & Brett Peterson, Kevin & Claudia Chalk, Karen & Randy Grow, Karl & Johanna Chalk and the late LeMaur Roberts. Michelle also leaves her cousins, Elizabeth (Brent) Nelson, Maggie (Tony) Roberts, Katie (Jim) Black, Liesl Baumann, Katrina Baumann, Molly Baumann, Julia Baumann, Nick Sapsford, Lindsay (Dru) Boyer, Jenna (Corey) Sapsford, Abby (Jeff) Mansfield, Seth Mansfield, Erin Baumann, Rebecca (Nolan) Baumann Hanna (Aaron) Schklar, Eric Peterson, Kris Chalk, Katarina (Aric) Dupre, Alex Grow, Erik Grow, Hanna Chalk, Maggie Chalk, and the late Jacob Baumann & the late Dean Sapsford. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home, 427 S. Ft. Thomas Ave. in Ft. Thomas, KY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am Monday, August 7, 2017, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1803 N. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas, Kentucky 41075.
