SUNSET - A Military Committal Service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary for Lee Arthur Phillips, age 63, who passed away Monday, July 11, 2017 at 1 2:00 p.m. at his residence in Sunset.

Interment will be in Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary.

Mr. Phillips was a native of Lafayette and a resident of Sunset. He was a veteran of the military having served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Belson, of Sunset; one son, Joniel Belson; one daughter, Stellina Belson; five grandchildren, Taylor Broussard, Royal Broussard, Craig Pierre-August, Jr., Aleah Pierre-August and Destiny Freeman; and one sister, Rose Tilman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Phillips and the former, Stella Johnson; and one brother, Victor Philips.
