Funeral services for Virginia Dannehl Little 81 of Columbia will be held 10:00 AM Friday August 4 from the Columbia chapel of Riser Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Frank Sellers and Bro. Shane Duke officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery west of Columbia. Virginia passed away on August 1, 2017 at the Haven Nursing Center in Columbia following an extended illness. She was born on February 7, 1936 at Columbia , LA to the union of her parents Richard Dannehl and Edith Elaine Hall Dannehl. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Little, Sr. , by her daughter: Pamela Kay Roberts, her son: Charles E. “Chucky” Little, her brother: Johnny Dannehl and two sisters: Evelyn Lenoir of Kilgore, Texas and Francis Oliveaux of Columbia. Virginia raised eight children. She carried three to Germany alone where her husband was stationed in the United States Armed Services, she brought back four. Once again she carried five young children to Germany and came back with six. She was very proud of her husbands military career and supported him wholeheartedly.
Left to cherish a lifetime of memories are her children: daughter: Linda Fuller of Grayson and five sons: Broc Allen Little, Roger Little of White Oak, Texas, Randy Little, Mike Little, and Eric Little all of Longview, Texas; five brothers: Louis Dannehl, Jake Dannehl, Robert Dannehl, Ricky Dannehl, and Larry Dannehl; five sisters: Doris Wiggins, Rosie Thompson, Joyce Massey, Kaye Tolbert and Dana Polermo ??; thirteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Hall, John Spears, Chad Valentine, Jesse Garcia, Tony Little and David Montgomery. Jimmy Little will serve as honorary pallbearer.
