JESSIE JEAN MORGAN
April 30, 1931 - July 27, 2017

After a brief battle with brain cancer, Jessie passed away at home with her beloved husband of 64 years, Roy, and daughter by her side.

She was born in McGregor, TX and moved to Washington, DC in 1958.

She enjoyed a 25 year career as a dedicated DC public school teacher.

Her devotion to her family was unparalleled.

Jessie is survived by her husband,

Roy;

her daughters,

Renée Perry (Egbert),

Desirée Morgan (Paul Vessels),

Michon Johnson;

granddaughters,

Rian Smith (Ontario),

Kyle Perry,

Corey Johnson;

great-grandsons,

Landon and Harrison Smith;

sister, E. Jacquelyn Brown (Nicholas),

and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by the Memorial Service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 5, 2017, at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ, 5301 N. Capitol St., NE, Washington, DC 20011.
