THE HOME JOURNAL {Houston Co., Ga.} - Jun. 29, 1905
Death at Byron.
Truly, God's ways are beyond the understanding of the finite mind. After a lingering illness of a few months, the spirit of Miss Napper Lou Jackson took its flight from earthly surroundings, and returned to the God who gave it existence, last Thursday morning, June 22d. Just blooming into womanhood, a life that had been characterized by noble deeds, pure motives and an unselfish devotion to christianity and well worthy of emulation, has passed from our midst. The spark of life, from a true soldier of the Cross, has fled, leaving its imprint to those whom good fortune it was to know her. She was the only daughter, leaving a father and brother, together with a host of friends, to weep and sorrow over the sad and untimely demise. Funeral services were conducted at the grave by Brother Wesley Lane, of the Methodist church. The interment was at Union church in Crawford county, where a large concourse of friends gathered to pay their last sad regrets.
