Douglas Carroll Graves, age 74, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. He was born in Huntsville, Texas on June 26, 1943 to Andrew Carroll Graves and Ruth Durant Graves.

He was preceded in death by his brother, William R. (Billy) Legally in 1944, his mother, Ruth Colburn in 1996 and his stepfather, Marion Wesley Colburn (Buddy) in 2013.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Gloria Niederhofer Graves, two sons, Douglas Carroll Graves II and William Russell Graves, their wives Angela and Jamie respectfully. Daughter, Deborah Annette and husband Jason Toole; his seven grandchildren Emily, Robert, Victoria (Tori), Daniel, Douglas Carroll Graves III (Trey), Lauren and Weston, who will always remember him as “PaPa”.

Doug is also survived by his brother Ronald and wife Nita, his sister Sandy Risinger and husband Paul, and sister Judy Graves; and by numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, with funeral services beginning at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017 in the chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville, Texas. Interment will follow the service at Center Hill Cemetery in Oakhurst, Texas.
