Marcia May (Larter) Griffin, age 66, of O’Fallon, Missouri, formerly of Cedarville, Michigan, died on July 22, 2017 in O’Fallon. She was born on September 1, 1950 in Great Falls, Montana to Robert John and Joyce Helen (Dailey) Larter.

Marcia grew up in Toledo, Ohio and graduated high school from E.L. Bowsher. She then attended and graduated from Ferris State University as a certified stone sieve analyst. She met Kenneth J. Griffin and they married on July 12, 1975 in Cedarville. They started their family, raising seven children. She worked at WMKC radio station in 1990 and Cedarville Limestone Quarry from 1989 to 1995 as a janitor and security guard. She then worked a few years at Walmart before retiring in 1997.

Marcia was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Hessel, Michigan.

Marcia enjoyed any type of craft.

Marcia is survived by her children, Brian K. (Jodi) LaJoie of Escanaba, Michigan, Melanie LaJoie of Gladstone, Michigan, George L. (Melissa) LaJoie of Salem, Missouri, Nikcole R. (Erich) Johnson of Saint Charles, Missouri, Sandra Ballard of O’Fallon, Kendra Griffin of Petoskey, Michigan, and Kerri Griffin Causley of Petoskey; eighteen grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Robert J. Larter of Winterhaven, Florida, and Samuel A. (Lorie) Larter of Murrieta, California; sisters, Laurie L. (Ben) Crider of Winterhaven, Robin (Phil) Watz of Great Falls, and Kathleen (Richard) Adams of Great Falls.

Marcia is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth J. Griffin; grandsons, Zachary Owen Johnson, and Christopher Griffin; brother, John Paul Larter; sister, Peggy Olson, and parents.

Visitation will be held on August 3, 2017 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at R. Galer Funeral Home, 24549 S. M-129, Pickford, MI 49774. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 P.M.

Burial will be at Cedar Cemetery, in Cedarville.
