He was preceded in death by his first wife, Georgia Mae Burton in 1973.
He is survived by his wife Susan of their home in Wynnewood, Oklahoma, daughter Sharla Lunday and husband George of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two sons, John Burton and wife Kristy of Pottsboro, Texas and Todd Burton and wife Malia of Lakewood, Colorado, ten grandchildren, Abbey, Anna, Georgia, Erin, Joe, Kieran, Brennan, Lydia, Ethan and Nathan and three great grandchildren, Kinsley, Lilly and Rylee.
Services will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Wynnewood, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. Dale Ruggles. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in Wynnewood.
