Annie Wingo was the daughter of James Henry Wingo and his wife Elizabeth Jane Duncan. (James H. Wingo was a son of George Washington Wingo b.1850 Platte Co MO. The sons of George Washington Wingo took up arms with guerilla bands out of Clay County under elements of William Quantrell and Coon Hayes, operating under the orders of General Price of the Missouri State Guard. The brothers rode on raids out of Liberty, Clay Co MO with their distant cousins, the Youngers. If too young for combat, the boys held the horses for the older men. They were very hardened toward Northerners.

Annie Wingo married 23 Sept 1903, James Arthur McComas.
She died of pelvic peritonitis caused from an operation done for ruptured diverticulum.
