He enjoyed woodworking and spending time fishing at his camp on Keg Lake. He also loved his cottage on Toddy Pond. He was proud of being a WWII army veteran. He served in the US Army from Sept 1943 to Dec 1945. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Lanny and his wife, Patricia of Winn, Donna Berry and her husband, Gene of Orland and John Jr and his wife, Roberta of Prentiss. 6 grandchildren, Timothy Cole & wife, Brooke, Jennifer Hikel & husband, EJ, Jonathan Cole & wife, Ashley, Jason Gray, Stacey Downes & husband, Chuck, Chris Cole & wife, Charity, a step-granddaughter, Cheryl Hart, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy Littlefield. He was predeceased in April, by Dorothy, his wife of 66 years. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Gilford, Robert, Glen and Daniel and his sisters, Marion Beaulieu & Mabel Stratton.
