Bill honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1950-1954. He worked in industrial pipe and supply for various companies, later transitioning into law enforcement for many years serving in both Harris and Brazoria counties before retiring from the Brazoria County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Betty Green, and step-daughter Ramona Norris. He is survived by his brother Marvin Green and wife Sammie. He is also survived by his children: Dianna Spruiell and husband Richard; Deborah McDonald and husband Evelio; Marion “Billy” Green, Jr. and wife Regina; Regina McDonald and husband Sam; Brenda Switzer and husband Travis; Kevin Winkler and wife Melinda; Lisa Tolbert and husband Jesse, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bill will be missed by many, especially his four-legged baby girl, “Peanut”.
Bill’s family will receive friends during visitation, Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Niday Funeral Home, located at 12440 Beamer Road in Houston. The Funeral service will be held Friday, August 4, at 11:00 am, also at Niday Funeral Home. Interment will follow at South Park Cemetery, located at 1310 North Main St. in Pearland.
