He is survived by: his wife, Violet Katie Highfield Bess, who he married December 21, 1992; three daughters, Pam (Chris) Hardin, Kathy (Ross) Mason and Heather (Will) Dodson, all of Maysville, Kentucky; his grandchildren, Justin (Tiffany) Kennedy, Zackary (Cassidy) Kennedy, Dray (Alicia) Mains, Joseph (Lena) Dodson and Koltan Mason; and a brother, Delvin (Patty) Bess. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his: first wife, Charlene Elifritz Bess; second wife, Linda Sullivan Bess; and siblings, William Clellan “Bill” Bess and Yarnell Paris Bess.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 7, at Germantown Christian Church, in Germantown. Memorials are suggested to Germantown Christian Church.
