Mr. Glenn Eugene Carr, 90, of Louisiana, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at the St, Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, MO.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 5th at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, MO. The Rev. Bill Maupin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at 1:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
He was born on April 19, 1927 near Bowling Green, MO to Henry and Bertha Bolomey Carr. He was married to Helen Bernice Williams on January 15, 1949 in Louisiana, MO.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Helen Bernice Carr of the home, a daughter, Mrs. Susan Sterne (Geoff) of Clarksville, MO, a son, Michael Carr (Geri) of Huntsville, MO, 8 grandchildren, Vivian Kirk (Spencer) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Alisha Hubbard (Michael) of Hot Springs, AR, Daniel Carr (Jamie) of Madison, MO, Kathryn Kelly (Darrin) of Nebo, IL, Laurie Leger (Bert) of Katy, TX, David Carr of Moberly, MO, Benjamin Sterne (April) of Eolia, MO, Eric Sterne (Jessica) of Clarksville, MO, and several Great Grandchildren, and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Albert Carr, and a sister, Mildred Whitaker Griggs.
He graduated from the New London High School in New London, MO. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Army Air Force.
He had been employed for 34 years at Hercules Chemical Co. in Louisiana, Missouri retiring May 1, 1992. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Louisiana, MO.
