Rosco Gideon, 70, Taneyville, died Friday evening in his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Gideon, a lifelong Taney County resident, served in the Army with the Military police in France and Germany during World War II.
Survivors include four sisters, Mrs. Jane Knight, Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Thelma Clark, Taneyville, Mrs. Beulah Kissee, Walnut Shade, and Mrs. Violet Morris, Rogersville; and two brothers, Si, Goishen, Ark., and Burl, Rogersville.
Services were Tuesday in Taneyville Union Chapel Church with the Revs. Richard King and David Holvick officiating. Burial was in the Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Forsyth Mortuary.
