Margaret R. Harrell, 84, of Plainfield, formerly of Springfield, died at 12:58 am, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Alden Estates in Naperville, IL. She was born September 18, 1932 in Springfield to Raymond M. and Florence D. (Gusswein) Kirby. She married William B. Harrell on April 24, 1965 and he preceded her in death April 7, 2015. Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Richard Kirby.

Surviving are a daughter Vicki J. (Robert) Rose of Aurora, IL; four grandchildren, Jackson, Kevin and Joslyn Adamski and Sommer Rose; three sisters, Jeanne Skube of Decatur, Rita (Jesse) Moyer of Springfield and Bernadine Wagner-Slack (husband, Mason Swilley) of Austin, TX; one brother, James (Donna) Kirby of Chatham and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of St. Francis Assisi Church in Plainfield and formerly was a member of St. Agnes Church in Springfield. Margaret was the office manager at Goodwin and Broms Engineering.

Visitation: 4:00 – 7:00 pm Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with a prayer service at 4:00 pm.

Funeral Mass: 9:30 am, Monday, August 7, 2017 at St. Agnes Church with Reverend Robert Jallas officiating.

Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
