Funeral services for Larry Otis “Dode” Blakley, 71 year-old Weatherford, Oklahoma resident, will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017, 11:00 A.M. in “The Chapel” of Lockstone Funeral Home with Danny Ringer officiating.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.
Dode was born July 12, 1946, in Weatherford, Oklahoma to Oadis and Opal (Harris) Blakley and passed away Monday, July 31, 2017, at Corn Heritage Village in Weatherford, Oklahoma.
Dode was raised and attended school in Weatherford. He worked for Southwestern Oklahoma State University in maintenance, retiring in 1988.
Dode enjoyed listening to gospel and country and western music, and spending time with family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Corn Heritage Village of Weatherford.
Dode is survived by two brothers, Gary Blakley and wife, Kathy and Jerry Blakley all of Weatherford, Oklahoma; five sisters, Elfrieda Odell of Newport, Washington, Marietta Mallard of Guyman, Oklahoma, Loretta Schnell of Wichita, Kansas, Deborah Huddlestone and Dedra Longoria of Weatherford, Oklahoma; and one adopted sister, Tonya Winters of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
